Meta’s Connect 2024 conference has unveils new AI innovations.
The company’s releases new Orion AR glasses, weighing less than 100 grams, combine AR with AI, featuring voice control and hand tracking.

Meta also introduced Llama 3.2, a powerful LLM capable of understanding both images and text. They’ve also released smaller versions of Llama, designed for use on smartphones and potentially in future AR devices.
Instagram users can look forward to exciting AI-powered features, including automatic video dubbing and lip-syncing in multiple languages, as well as AI-generated content in their feeds.

Perhaps most notably, Meta has launched Voice Mode, allowing users to engage in voice conversations with Meta AI across Messenger, Facebook, WhatsApp, and Instagram direct messages.
With these advancements, Meta is solidifying its position as a leader in AI and AR technology. The integration of these features across Meta’s platforms, which boast nearly 500 million monthly active AI users.
