Google Unveils Gemini Live, AI Voice Assistant

Google just stepped up its game with the launch of Gemini Live, a new mobile conversational AI with advanced voice capabilities.

While ChatGPT’s voice mode is still in its early testing phase, Gemini Live is already available for some users.

This new AI from Google can hold in-depth conversations hands-free, offering a human-like voice experience with 10 different options. You can even interrupt and ask follow-up questions in the middle of a response, just like in a real-life chat.

One exciting feature of Gemini Live is its ability to see and respond to your camera view, which is set to launch later this year.

Gemini Live is currently the default assistant on Google’s Pixel 9 and is available to all Gemini Advanced subscribers on Android. But don’t worry, it’s coming to iOS users soon too.

The release of Gemini Live marks a significant shift towards real-time voice conversations with AI. Instead of just texting or prompting, these AIs are becoming collaborators, helping us learn, consult, and grow.

With OpenAI’s Advanced Voice Mode still in its limited testing phase, Google has made a bold move in the race towards advanced AI voice capabilities.
