OpenAI has started a limited rollout of its exciting new ‘Advanced Voice Mode’ for ChatGPT Plus users.
This feature promises natural, real-time conversations and the ability for the AI to detect and respond to emotions, making interactions more engaging and human-like.

Initially, only a small group of ChatGPT Plus users will get access, but everyone with a Plus subscription should have it by fall 2024.
Advanced Voice Mode, powered by GPT-4o, can sense emotions like sadness, excitement, or even singing in users’ voices. This could revolutionize how we interact with AI, moving it from a simple tool to a collaborator we can learn and grow with.
While video and screen-sharing capabilities are also on the horizon, they won’t be available just yet. OpenAI has already sent out instructions to the first group of users selected for early access.
This development is a big step forward, particularly in areas like customer service and mental health support, where understanding emotions can make a significant difference.
Keep an eye out for this feature as it becomes more widely available!
