Anthropic launches Claude 3.5 Sonnet, Outperform GPT-4o

Anthropic has just unveiled the Claude 3.5 Sonnet, a new and improved model that outshines its competitors like GPT-4o and the previous Opus version in terms of speed and cost efficiency.

The Sonnet 3.5 model is impressively fast, boasting double the speed of the Opus model, while being priced at only one-fifth of Anthropic’s previous top-tier model.

Not only does the Sonnet 3.5 outperform Opus and GPT-4o in reasoning, code, math, and knowledge abilities, but it also introduces a new feature called ‘Artifacts’. This feature allows users to interact with Claude in a real-time side panel workspace, enabling viewing, editing, and building capabilities.

Anthropic has also announced that the 3.5 versions of Haiku and Opus will be released later this year, along with new features like Memory.

This latest upgrade from Anthropic is significant as it helps the company reclaim its top spot in the LLM leaderboard after briefly losing it to GPT-4o.

With the continuous acceleration of model advancements, the future looks promising with the potential for the upcoming 3.5 Opus release to push LLM capabilities to exciting new levels.
